After being in the area for a bit...compared to other planet fitnesses, I am underwhelmed by the customer service here.  The customer service here shows that the "gymtimidation" motto of Planet Fitness isn't true.  I honestly chose Planet Fitness because of 2 things: the motto and the membership value.  I chose this gym brand, because I've had experience with feeling uncomfortable at the gym due to people approaching me uncomfortably, treating my time on machines as less valuable, etc
If you want to work out and don't know where to start from the Planet Fitness Store recommends that you get to our online store accessible through phone. Ugh where do I begin.Avoid this scam of a gym at all cost. They are just taking your money. Its crowded at all times and it's very run down and dirty.Hard to get a good workout when every machine is taken.Theres nowhere to hang your keys and no protein shakes to buy after ur workout.Maybe I expected more since the PF in Palmdale is 100 times better than any PF I've been to.Just not a good vibe at the Alhambra PF.They are even too lazy to enforce their "Lunk" alarm lol I feel guilty giving them 1 star.More like 0 stars. This gym

I really like working out there. The trainers are very helpful. The best thing is that it doesn't ha...ve the locker room smell that turns me off from working out. I like being able to go when I have the time and not when the gym has the time. I'm shy about working out in front of people and at Anytime I can go when there is very few people there. See More

In 1993, the Grondahl brothers hired Chris Rondeau, Planet Fitness’ current CEO, to work the front desk. Rondeau and the Grondahls recognized that there was a greater opportunity to serve a much larger segment of the population if they changed the gym environment, both in attitude and format, by creating a non-intimidating, low-cost model.[5] Planet Fitness then became known as the "Judgement Free Zone," aimed more at the average user than the bodybuilder type of fitness enthusiast.[6] As early as March 2015, the "Judgement Free Zone" policy has been expanded to allow trans women to use the women's locker room. The policy states that "members and guests may use all gym facilities based on their sincere self-reported gender identity."[7]
