After being in the area for a bit...compared to other planet fitnesses, I am underwhelmed by the customer service here.  The customer service here shows that the "gymtimidation" motto of Planet Fitness isn't true.  I honestly chose Planet Fitness because of 2 things: the motto and the membership value.  I chose this gym brand, because I've had experience with feeling uncomfortable at the gym due to people approaching me uncomfortably, treating my time on machines as less valuable, etc
PF Alhambra is a tidy, affordable gym with neat lockers, huge parking lot, free pizza and tootsie roll. LoL. Staff (Mark and co.) are competent, friendly and professional. They should be given a raise! Because they are always dependable. PF is without flaws, the things I abhor is when the machines are out of service, artic blasting A/C on the far back end and the crowded peak hours (M-W; 6pm), however, not as terrible compared to PF Mid-town Olympic blvd branch. The gym goers are friendly, nice and respectful. Similarly, there are good looking fit women in this gym which kinda motivating. Overall, I highly recommend this gym. I can suggest they add more new machines or install a wall  pull up bars like most gym do. I would like to make it happen.

In 2010, the International Health, Racquet, and Sportsclub Association named Anytime Fitness the fastest growing fitness club. Franchise Chatter titled Anytime Fitness as the franchise with the best business model in 2011.[34] The Star Tribune called Anytime Fitness one of Minnesota's top workplaces in 2011, 2012, and 2013.[35] The company ranked first in Minnesota Business Magazine's best company to work for in 2012 and 2013.[36] Forbes ranked the company 14th as America's most promising companies.[37] In 2014, Entrepreneur Magazine ranked Anytime Fitness number one on their franchise 500 list.[38][39] In 2015 and 2016, Anytime Fitness was ranked first on the publication's top global franchises list.[40][41]

I really like working out there. The trainers are very helpful. The best thing is that it doesn't ha...ve the locker room smell that turns me off from working out. I like being able to go when I have the time and not when the gym has the time. I'm shy about working out in front of people and at Anytime I can go when there is very few people there. See More
In 1993, the Grondahl brothers hired Chris Rondeau, Planet Fitness’ current CEO, to work the front desk. Rondeau and the Grondahls recognized that there was a greater opportunity to serve a much larger segment of the population if they changed the gym environment, both in attitude and format, by creating a non-intimidating, low-cost model.[5] Planet Fitness then became known as the "Judgement Free Zone," aimed more at the average user than the bodybuilder type of fitness enthusiast.[6] As early as March 2015, the "Judgement Free Zone" policy has been expanded to allow trans women to use the women's locker room. The policy states that "members and guests may use all gym facilities based on their sincere self-reported gender identity."[7]
